- Before you do anything... Type ati3 and see that version ROM is returned. The
- older ROMs were slower than the current version (1.309b). If you DO have an
- older version, call Zoom for a free ROM chip which you install (it's just a
- matter or pulling out the old chip from the socket and pushing in the new one)

- Are you sure that you're connected to a 28.8 service? If you're connected to a
- 2400 bps BBS, then your 28.8 modem will still connect at 2400 and react as
- such.... If you have s95=1 then you'll return the speed at which you're
- connected (as opposed the the actual throughput speed).

- The generic should be fine... you want to have &c1 &d2 in there and if you
- want to speed up dialing lower the s11 register (s11=50). IF you want the
- modem to return more connection info then raise s95=47 (beware, your software
- may not recognize when your modem is on line - you may have to change the
- string that the software looks for (CONNECT string) if you change this
- setting.)
